Transit for All New Yorkers
New York’s transit system is in crisis.
Like everyone who depends on the subway to get to work every day, I’ve seen delays increase even as fares rise every year. The damage done by years of mismanagement in Albany can’t be fixed overnight–but we need to start now.
As your State Senator I will:
- Fight to fully fund the MTA capital program so we can stabilize the transit system and expand service.
- Advocate for the Implementation of a fare freeze so working-class New Yorkers don’t have to pay more to get to work every year
- Push to make every subway station accessible for elderly and disabled riders, so that all of us can get around
